My understanding is that Indian Casinos all over the US pay little, IF ANY, taxes....and are generating HUGE incomes. A LARGE source of income for the US, would either to tax the casino money, OR to stop the US subsidies that go to the reservations that have casinos..... Does Congress have enough of what it takes to tackle this situation and deal with it? No, probably not. Maybe we should consider higher taxes on smoking, drinking, gambling and other activities about which people lack self-control.
