Re: advantages to AMD for ATYT merger. I'm sure it frustrated AMD engineers to distraction when all the chipset makers were so slow to adopt and enable PowerNow/CoolNQuiet If AMD has some HT/Co-processor tricks up their sleeve, having a more forceful say in chipset design will speed adoption. There is also new FAB space ATI's product can help fill. Besides, AMD is a "big boy" now. They want to see if they can mismanage chipset production as badly as INTC did their's. -Magrathea
