"Eugenics must be wrong because it was associated with the Nazis"

There is nothing incorrect with the view that controlled breeding can change our species. The problem with Nazi eugenics was the morality of what they wanted. Why people confuse the two is beyond me.

IMO, we will never deal with race issues until we also deal with our immoral treatment of animals. If it is fine to use monkeys for medical testing, then whats the big deal with claiming that one race is more desirable than another?

The solution is to treat things morally even if they are different from oneself, rather than to try and convince oneself that others are in fact "not different". What I mainly see is people clinging with steadfast faith to the "not different" hope. What happens when "not different" is shown to be incorrect on some basis? Does this imply that moral treatment is no longer needed.

As a case in point, what if we find that certain ethnic groups are actually genetically inclined towards violence? That would be really shocking to many people, and I wonder how we could deal with it. I'd be shocked if there is not a genetic basis, with some ethnic variability, for aggression. Once we quantify it, what will we do?
