Over the years, I made a small fortune in technology stocks.

One of my best friends has a PhD in nuclear engineering. When he was still in the Navy I got a special pass from his sub's Captain to take a tour aboard her (although, limited, lol) and also had a nice half day tour -- including the staging area and bridge -- of the U.S.S. Independence (1989 in San Diego) chinfo.navy.mil -- and even took a very interesting tour of the Los Alamos facilities during the early 1990s courtesy of a special pass.

Other than the fact that I have been an avid follower of technology since age twelve (the year I first subscribed to The Wall Street Journal, Barron's and Scientific American), have a private pilot's license, built a workable robot when I was 15, and was weaned on Analog Magazine: Science Fiction, Science Fact. . . no, I guess I don't have much of a clue about technology. :)
