Rightwingers fighting hard for one quarter of one percent...that's who stands to benefit from the demise of the estate tax. The Republican Government is the most immoral, undemocratic government in the industrialized world.

Since when is it DEMOCRATIC for the government to represent the interests of 1/4th of 1% against the interests of everyone else? What utter stupidity and immorality. Heck, even Bill Gates' father says the rich OWE the society.

No kidding. It takes a country to raise a millionaire but apparently only a few hundred thousand to buy corrupt politicians.

"...Here are the facts: the estate tax is levied only on estates worth over $2 million ($4 million for couples), which means approximately one-fourth of one percent of all estates on America will pay it in 2006. Over 99 percent of all Americans will pass their estates on to their heirs completely tax free – and there is no tax whatsoever on assets left to a spouse no matter the amount....."
