You seem to be educating me with no facts. If you have any facts showing that Katrina was not, in fact, the 4th most powerful storm on record at one point in its life, please show me those facts. If you do not have any facts, then your education system isn't working.
I feel you must be talking about something other than what I'm talking about, but I can't figure out what it is. I mean no disrespect to you, but everything I read disagrees with what you are saying- and since I'm sure you've read what I've read, I think we must be talking past each other. If you could just put the facts on the table that your think we are arguing over- use URLs please, then maybe I can see how we are managing to argue over something like this, which seems cut and dried to me (in terms of what I am asserting- and I'm not asserting anything novel, and I don't even find any controversy over it).
I don't want to argue from ignorance, as you so nicely put it, but I'm not seeing the ignorance. I'm reading scientific articles, and darned if I can figure out how I'm being ignorant in assessing what they say. I'm quoting them, for goodness sake. Look at the article from NOAA- and tell me how what you are saying is in agreement with that, and how what I am saying is not. |
