Maybe. Or maybe it is a new socket that isn't socketF. It seems to be trying to say, in its confused manner, that it is a MCM with two dual core chips on it, maybe with all 4 memory controllers. Hence the "4x4" designation.

Not so sure this would be a killer game machine, but it certainly would be killer server. An 8 core, two socket server would go a long way towards locking the server market up for AMD.
