coby have you been to NO lately?

my sister went in May for a week - stayed in the quarter

she hadn't been there since the hurricane, so it was eye opening to her

thought prolly only 10% of the businesses were open in the quarter - river walk only had a few shops open, same at the old jax brewery mall - she saw many signs of businesses closing or closed, just not enough revenue to support a business

they didn't toodle much around the city, but did meet a few friends and venture into Dad's old neighborhood - very few people are living there, little reconstruction work has been done, most businesses aren't open

the professor took early retirement and is debating whether to stay or leave - the doc is has moved on - Bay is still in texas - most people we knew have left or are still lost to us

french quarter fest was mostly quarter people, small turn out but fun and a release for them

I haven't heard the numbers for jazz fest, but the posters sold out by day 2 - I'm still waiting for mine to be shipped [art4now staffing problems they say] - usually they are shipped out the first week in may

the posters have been selling on ebay for a fortune! I'm concerned if I'm even going to get mine
