Dan, its price point will be such that it amounts to a PR stunt, and little else. Call it the "we have no answer to Conroe" system.

EDIT: How about instead of "4 x 4" we use the non-PC term "Rice Rocket" for this new initiative? Lots of noise, fins, and decals, but mediocre performance when it comes to actual driving... :)

In fact, if I were going to come up with a title for today's Analyst Day, it would be:

"Wait for 2007 -- P.S. No financial questions, please."

For one needs to wait until:

Q107 for any real 65nm part availability
Q307 for any K8L parts, any QC parts
mid-2007 for Chartered 65nm starts
2007 for "bulldozer"

Really, about the only good thing I heard was the added HT link in the K8L.
