What difference does it make. Intel's solution only goes up to 4 sockets. Even if the K8L parts were just dual-core you could have 8 half HT 3.0 links in a 8-way with one hop between all sockets with the same bandwidth as today's full HT 2.0 link. It will just destroy TigerTon making it look like KittyOunce ;-). Intel won't have a serious MP solution until Nehalem and CSI in 2009 and Dell could see that quite obviously once K8L specs were shown to him. Nevermind the 2008 directory coherency mid-life kicker adding more potency !
