Yes I think Doug could be missing the bigger picture here. Like Charlie said recently in an editorial AMD have a modern platform and it's going to stay modern with this future just outlined. Sure Intel maybe good in a simple historic cpu to cpu comparison but they will be fighting a whole platform ecosystem soon. Maybe not immediately but later on it could seriously trouble them in a competitive way. What this must also do is give confidence to those that have committed to Opteron to stay the course as it will only get better.
