The pundits, FWIW, say that the organized money has already gone to Hillary. Gore would have to go the Dean route. Since individuals can only contribute so much, it's the grassroots organization that means everything.

I think it's funny that Republicans, having zero standards except for lockstep loyalty to the 'cause', are reputed to be very friendly to all comers. The Dems, OTOH, are reputed to be like a stratified high school system where newcomers have to pay their 'dues.'

I don't know. I think we need to get rid of all parties and just vote policy....directly.

It would certainly bring all legislation to a screaming halt since all voters would have to actually read new bills. We have enough laws to last us for a decade or so. This would be a good thing.

Individuals have way too much power. Like wealth, it's far too concentrated, far too protected and corrupt beyond belief.
