EMC also sells storage machines to Dell, which resells them as EMC-Dell co-branded systems. After my recent trip I have problems with one of my Dell computers. But the culprit apparently is the RAID acceleration which has nothing to do with EMC, as it is something that INTC is the one that put it there & has the patent. After having an error message for the RAID on one disk of 149GB & reseting the disk to non-RAID, the thing is unable to boot.<g> I have to see if I find the time to talk with the Dell support people during the weekend. I don't like to spend much time with those problems & may have to just junk the computer as I did in the past with 2 HPs.<g> I wasn't aware that the computer had that RAID accelerator & much less that it could be the source of problems.
