Several PM stocks, such as GLG, IAG, VGZ and PAAS, actually hit buy signals today.

What constitutes a buy signal? I've been buying a considerable amount of PAAS over the last week. It's been very weak (I assume because of Peru jitters) and I wonder what technical indicator is flashing buy?
