But then, several of my old bosses wrote up my cynicism.

The incompetent ones, that is....

Worked on a software project. One of the best programmers was a fellow from the USSR. "Oh Jess, I caan do dat." Had several from USSR, China.

The vast majority were better programmers than the "Just out of college" crew.

Oh Jess, I caan do dat left after a "Pep Talk". "I could do dat but I can make more money elsewhere." One of the 10% of the staff that actually produced anything. (About 8 competent programmers.)

I wish him well.

And his Multi process C "Twelve Days of Christmas" on a PC, '96.

Two more like him and a $60M project, actual cost, wouldn't have been flushed.
