You seem to have a bee in your bonnet about Canada...care to explain why?

IMO ALL countries should be motivated by self preservation otherwise they wont be a country for very long and as for cooperation I don't think there is a country on Planet Earth that cooperates more with the USA than Canada.

How would being helpful to the USA be a detriment to Canada?

Have you forgotten all of the cooperation and help that Canada offered and agreed to during the cold war?... the dew line...USA air basis throughout the North.... providing a range for the USA to test their cruise missiles... etc.etc

How about when 9/11 happened and US airlines were forced to land in Canada especially the East cost where Canadian citizens took USA passengers into their own homes until they could get back to the USA. Americans even had a reunion in Eastern Canada to thank the Canadians who treated them so kindly. And what about the Canadian soldiers that received American medals for saving lives of American soldiers and fighting along side American soldiers.
