News: Entertainment Industry Solves "Year 2000" Problem

Hollywood: The "year 2000 problem", a computer glitch which causes computers to mistake dates ending with '00' as 1900 instead of 2000, and a favorite investment vehicle for anesthesiologists worldwide, has been a major headache for production companies as they scramble to fix their non-compliant systems before the world comes to an end on January 1, 2000.

Today, 20th Century Fox announced that they are now fully Y2K compliant. The studio has changed its name to Fox 2000. A spokesperson for Fox said, "Now that we're using 4 digits for the date, we'll be ready once the year 3000 rolls around."
