Bush has never cared about illegal immigration. As governor of the state with the biggest Mexican border for 8 years he did nothing about it. As president he did nothing about it.

Neither did Ted Kennedy or John Kerry. They both are way too rich to care about stuff like that other than as a political issue. It was Clinton who took some steps but then dropped the ball when the Republican congress held up funding. Both sides are guilty of letting this problem fester and go unattended for decades.

Even now he talks the talk and throws in with Kennedy only because he's forced to in an election season with low ratings amongst his rightwing base. Bush is basically a hollow suit and pimp for the industrial special interests. He does not care about you, me or this country. In fact, he probably has gone back to drinking.

Bush is pro amnesty and pro illegal immigration....no question. But the GOP is not one way or the other.......its as divided as America is over this subject. So stop trying to make it a partisan issue. On most issues, I am mostly on your side and I am telling you that I disagree with your approach on this particular subject. That should tell you something if you could step out of your partisan straitjacket for more than just ten seconds and listen.
