Kerry's counterterrorism really works. It's for actually hunting down and killing individual terrorists and their cells. Bush mocked Kerry's wise analysis that hunting down terrorists is mainly based on good intel, cooperation with allies and hard-nosed law enforcerment work. Sure, SPecOps and military resources can be used too, even Cruise missiles and bombs but primarily counter-terrorism is high level police work.

Aide from the Taliban, no single country harbors enough terrorists to make invasions at all workable in the war on terror. In fact invasions of Arab countries probably creates thousands of new terrorists. You can't catch rats with a bulldozer, in other words. They run too fast.

Kerry reported the day after he watched the Tora Bora fiasco on TV that he was sickened. Why did they let him go, he asked aloud? Why did they let him go?

Any answer for that? Why did Bush let Osama go at Tora Bora? And why does Bush still call the Iraq War "the war on terror" when it has almost nothing to do with terrorism?

BTW: Kerry was the Chairman of the senate subcommittee on Terrorism, Narcotics and International Crime. He wrote a book called "The New War" which was a pre AL Qaida lesson on how to fight back against dangerous subversive international organized crime and terrorism.
