"Seeing as how the AMD product is still better than the majority of Intel products being shipped through the end of the year,"

A point the Intel bulls miss completely.

"AMD will hit back eventually with pricing, probably about the end of August to keep the slots for Holiday season. "

That would be the earliest. An argument can be made that won't happen until Q107. And even then, if AMD has a solid foothold in the commercial market, it might not happen except on the lowest end. The sheer volume of P4 product that Intel has to move, despite being Osbourned, is going to haunt them for a while.

Beyond that? Then K8L is a factor. If it shows at the end on Q207, then we are back to pre-Conroe. If not, then AMD starts to get nibbled on. Bottom line, Intel might be able to slow MSS erosion, but it isn't going to stop, much less reverse, anytime soon.
