It's not just 12 men. There are many incidents under review- and if there are no leakers, we won't find out about them. But we know about more than just 12 men. Judging from other wars misconduct is a part of war. I do not believe the US as ever fought a war that didn't have incidents in it where our soldiers went off that rails- I think it's a natural part of war. It's a regrettable part, and it's a part to work against, but you cannot make war "humane"- that's why you should be very sure that whatever your are fighting "for" will justify the inhumanity that is sure to occur. That, imo, is the problem with Iraq- there just wasn't a good enough reason to be there (after the trumped up reasons were shows to be false) to justify the negatives of war (cost, brutality, dead US soldiers, etc).
