Tim - Get on the phone with them immediately! You placed an order at 9:33 and it didn't fill until 10:25... that is absolutely unacceptable and you should contact them immediately and demand some retribution. Etrade should at least honor 1 9/16 which was the market price for at least the first 1/2 hour if I remember correctly. You really should never place a market order with Etrade or Datek. Always enter your orders as a limit, except in rare situations. Market orders do take longer with these two brokers (Some say they hold them back to fill at higher prices from their own inventory), but one hour is completely absurd! Did it really take an hour? Good luck on your complaint... don't take that crap. Even the online brokers should fill market orders in a minute or less (and even that is pretty long) LUNN will treat you right though!! Brad PS one more tip... on a market or limit order, if you think it's taking too long, attempt to cancel it. This essentially calls their hand and they have to execute which is usually what happens.
