I am not done with the book but so far am very impressed.

Thanks for the explanation but it does not address my "problem" :-)

My problem is with Fisher not discussing the method of calculating the A point!!!

You sell me a book about a "system" but not telling me how to calculate the FIRST important entry point?!

I will end up doing the same thing that you are doing:selecting an entry point at random,above/bellow the opening range.

Even though it sounds wrong we have no choice.
The reason I am saying it is wrong:

That way we may select a premature entry point causing a bad trade.
Or we may wait too long for our entry point (by choosing an A point which is too high and mis a good trade.
