There was something about this that bothered me. The English were the legally constituted government of Northern ireland. The Irish Catholics who tried to kill the English Prime minister and did manage to kill The Queen's uncle were terrorists. The IRA also murdered Irish Protestants, Irish Catholics, and anyone else walking down the streets. Irish Streets, English Streets it didn't matter. Rather like Muslim terrorists in Iraq. Canadians fooled themselves into thinking the Irish Battle was justified, but what can justify murdering children and old people and even pregnant women as they walked on the streets.
