Russia to Create State Oil and Gas Reserve 05.06.2006 09:46 Russia is establishing a state reserve of crude oil and natural gas, the Russian Reserve Committee said. As the head of the committee Alexander Grigoryev said, at present the stock list of the state reserve does not have gas and crude oil. At the first stage, about 5 million tons of oil should be stockpiled, Grigoryev said. Later the volume should be increased “so that the state could influence the market with this reserve”. At the same time the head of the Russian Reserve System noted that such a decision should be made on political level.
