As usual you are having problems finding the forest because of those danged trees standing in your way.

You put your faith in external authority. In a liberal democracy we the people are the authority, not the institutions we set up to serve us. Yet authority is an abstract, so you may either establish an internal sense of authority or you can surrender to an external authority. You have always proclaimed the latter for yourself.

Simply ask your self if it could be a better world and what is stopping society from living by such a standard. You can then identify for yourself what needs to be done.

Obedience to imaginary authority is founded upon internal agreement in principle and/or on the integrity of the external authority figure. Materialistic external authority is commanded and obedience to it is through fear of harm or loss.

Persons with an external locus of authority, continue to use language like 'vote for the lesser evil'. Why, because they don't believe in the common goodness of humanity. They are wallowing beggars slurping up the swill thrown to them by their powerful masters.

Rather than focus on how best to promote the evil that lines up on your side, focus on that which would truly offer a society of well being that is worthy of our support. Stand up for it, take responsibility for promoting it, be powerful. When enough people line up behind such issues, causes, and principles, you will have no problem finding persons to organise and lead the efforts necessary to move such mountains.
