'Primarily protected' guesses... Guess #1: "Canada? Ok, it's yours. Your operations are in Canada, and you obviously have some good will there (i.e. blue chip customers, etc.)." "But, we need the US market, too. If you appoint another distributor there, then our good will is going to be compromised. All our hard work will be a waste, as any newly appointed distributors in the US will harm our efforts at home and abroad." "The US?! No way. Ok, TPII, tell you what: we'll protect you while (whilst) we examine the job you're doing. You've got our word; you're exclusive during the first implementation stages.
