<Their being married hurts no one. Almost everyone wants to get married.>

1.) Lot's of people don't want to be married... but the tax laws and society make that harder to do.... so they just do it with the agreement that 'we can always just get divorced'.
2.) Why should society change the definition of marriage so gay couples don't have to say "my partner" instead of 'wife' or husband? I just don't get what the big deal is!!! In fact, they could still say that.
3.) In the case of the gays (all guys) that I know, none of them cares about this issue except for monetary issues. But that's a small sample.

<To take marriage away from members of our society for no reason at all is just plain barbaric.>

No one is taking anything away... except the gay lobby is trying to take away the meaning of marriage and change, or broaden it. So "barbaric" is just hyperbole.

<You need to go to the mountain on this one DAK; and get out of "Pointless Land".>

Pointless land is making the term "marriage" an issue in this at all. I've never seen so much money and effort wasted over the definition of a word, instead of the greater meaning and context that is actually worth something. Incredible.
