As I am sure you know, Bernanke opened his mouth (doesn't anyone have some duct tape? The homeland insecurity guys ought to have some, right?). I think the combination of Bernanke's open mouth, and the oil spike caused by Iran mumbling about using oil as a weapon, managed to tank the market.
