I'm as guilty as anyone here of taking more than I give when it comes to prose. Frankly, I'm fascinated by the personalities on this thread, love the banter, and often just get drawn into a trance reading the stories and barbs posted by others. I also fall into the "I don't have as many interesting things to say" mode that others have mentioned. Finally, sometimes life gets so busy that there is little time to type something witty, particularly when I'm at my wit's end. <G?>
I guess what I'm trying to say is, I had something written to share, but my dog ate it. <G>
Don't get down; these things ebb and flow, and you may be caught in the ebb while others are flowing for a while. I always enjoy reading what you have to say, identify with much of it, learn from the rest of it, and find your writing style refreshing. Keep sharing that gift, and it'll come back to you in spades.
