re: I agree with you that the Iranians have every right to withold oil and I agree with you that we should dare them to do it, because we know they won't. It's their lifeblood and they need the money more than we do. The Iranian government has been stashing away money... they have huge reserves. Their people might suffer... but they could easily get by without oil income for a year. If they could disrupt the flow of oil (entirely possible) then they could send this country with our 25% of world consumption into a depression. Without a lot of oil the US economic machine doesn't work. At this point in time, oil is a much, much more dangerous weapon than nukes. It's out biggest national security issue. John
