If she had said the Republicans spent five years on war and peace and the economy and all that stuff but haven't accomplished enough to be sure of holding their majority, so now they have to whip up all these stupid turkey issues, that would be a fair characterization. But her comment reminds me of someone no longer allowed to post here who didn't believe that the 2004 Democratic Party platform said anything about the party's policies or priorities, because she had already decided differently. Just venting personal prejudices, not illuminating much. I understand that Molly deals with the bizarre characters in the Texas Republican Party, but that's no reason to lose perspective.
