But in the earlier post you said iraq was hopeless. If afganistan was a success, it is now crumbling because we didnt finish the job or was it inevitable as you say it was in iraq. See where i am going with this. This is like the next vietnam syndrome of US feeling we cant resolve anything militarily. I am saying that this WOT will force us to fight again, so i have to believe its winnable, so why was iraq not, even if it was more effectively fought. I am having a tough time in resolving all of this. Is this vietnam syndrome redux? Is iraq unique as a war we couldnt win while afganistan isnt? Am i making any sense at all?
