Bill Cara: A junior gold list to research, Tues., June 6, 2006, 8:48 AM

I have been asked for a list of legitimate junior gold companies (miners and prospectors) that have promising prospects. Other than U.S. Gold (USGL), which trades in the U.S., there are several in Canada that I watch.

Without at all trying to limit your watchlist, here are seven Toronto Exchange listed golds I like. I’ll try to add to the list – really there are more.

I’ll try to come up with a U.S.-trading list later. Some of these may be approved for trading in the U.S., but be hard to buy/sell via most U.S. broker-dealers.

The larger producers like Barrick, Newmont, Goldcorp, Glamis, Yamana, etc, have not been considered for this list. These are juniors.

But they are not "penny" stocks in the pejorative sense.
