I'll wait. In the meantime, I don't think it is reasonable to expect that AMD can sell all of its production ahead of Intel's.

If that was true, AMD's sales would be dominated by Athlons at prices between $150-$250, and not Semprons at $70. ASP would be well over $100. But it isn't.

This means to me that AMD cannot sell all the Athlons it can make (if it were to devote more capacity to that), and for that reason it allocates capacity to semprons which I assume bring in less profit.

By the way, the top 3 selling CPU's at Tiger Direct are Pentiums the next 4 are Athlons.
