The effect of networking stock performance on ACTM is loose. If the networking industry in fact does very well fundamentally this would tend to mean good business for ACTM, and vice versa - and the stock should react. If people are merely optimistic or afraid that the networking business will be good or bad, but do not know for sure, then the impact on ACTM price one way or the other would tend to be more limited, unless emotions get carried away as earlier this year. The impact of any one networking company on ACTM would be even less - although I watch BAY which accounts for about 1/3 of sales.

There is clearly still pressure on the stock. However, CFO Greenlaw
believes in credibility as a key management credo. I doubt the
Schroder recommendation would have come out last week and at earnings time in a month Greenlaw blows his credibility by making
the Schroder analyst look like a fool for recommending the stock.
So the fundamentals are probably fine.
