Stan, I don't think that those people alone have established that the Gospel writers never met Jesus. They are just some that I know of that present that opinion based on the studies of historians and linguists and archeologists.

MY opinion about Jesus of Nazareth is that he DID exist.

I don't believe he was a "Son of God". I think he was one of many many (maybe 1000's) that were traveling ministers (miracle workers) that were known of in that area at that time. Many of which may also have held the common name Jesus.

As I said before, I think that Paul of Tsarsis (Saul?) was the TRUE creator of Christianity through his brilliant writing and unrelenting evangelism.
