Do you? Do you understand that CPUs are becoming more commodity like (not commodities, but less exotic) and that it takes Intel 7 times more people to make a CPU than AMD?

Do you understand that, to break even in costs, an OEM needs to collect total revenue for a given system equal to significantly more than the raw incremental cost of the CPU.

OEM's are going to be a lot more price sensitive going forward. AMD, going forward, has a lot more capacity (plus the lawsuit) to defang Intel's marketing extortion that has previously let them sell fungible parts for twice the price of its competitors.

What do you think Intel's earnings and revenues will be this quarter, and do you understand how the news of damaged corporate performance can impact a company's image and sales?
