last night i watched the creeping horror of god’s next army (‘Conservative evangelical Christians hold key positions in the US Government and now they’re training the next generation to take power’) and am amazed and disgusted at these boring, poorly dressed, non-smiling, homeschooled, self-righteous teenage virgins and their faith or whatever it is that makes them feel they’re chosen to lead by injecting a heaping helping of their exclusionary religious beliefs into government. um…do i need to mention they all think the preznit is this totally brilliant person? apart from that, what’s truly terrifying is Patrick Henry College trains them to be political activists cause they fervently believe that ‘god wanted them to be.’ and i learnt something i bet y’all never knew: ‘the bible says the US is the best country in the world.’ it. is. written, dudes!
anyway, the voiceover kept going ‘these students want to ensure America becomes a Christian republic’ and after watching a bit more, i caught myself thinking that if these baby zealots are further empowered, it’s bye bye Jews, Moslems, Mormans, Catholics, Pagans… and no gays, no abortions, no masturbation, no evolution, no smoking or drinking, no sex before marriage, absolutely no abortions or sex education and for-fucking-get about getting high on anything; no good music, no dancing, no AIDs prevention and certainly no divorce or proven science. but naturally there’ll be lots and lots of god-sanctioned guns, whee! um, republic of gilead, anyone? :-(
among other frightening things, this bit was stunning: ‘…they just waltzed in to Washington, sans appointment, proposing all these social reforms, including — get this — abolishing compensation for people with illnesses brought on by inhaling Asbestos at work! (Those Lung Cancer Riddled bastards can just rot in Hell, eh? It’s their own fault for being Working Class!)…’ and before they went in, they had to coach the baby jebusfreaks on the proper pronunciation of ‘asbestos.’ oy…
looking at the students on the campus and in the classrooms of PHC one doesn’t see anything other than plain vanilla whitebread faces. i mean, WTF? they’re getting rid of black, brown, red and yellow people as well? and i don’t think i saw but one dude who was anything but thin, so i assume that in future amerika, being overweight will be against the law or worse yet, some kinda sin or whatever. and forget about wearing anything dark or fuck forbid, black — it’ll be khakis and whiteshirts and ties or nothing.
what disturbed me the most though, is that more than once or twice when they showed the PHC campus with its own special flavor of hitler youth, i found myself musing, somewhat paraphrasing the preznit himself, wondering if ‘a submarine could take this place out’ (or any other explosively enabled delivery system and soon, please). and each time i caught myself having violent fantasies i totally poured another drink or whatever (mostly whatever) so by the time it was over, i was truly on my ass (and ripped outta my face) and fervently hoped i wouldn’t remember this shit in the morning.
it didn’t work. |-( but i’m so hoping every Democratic, Liberal, Green and/or Progressive candidate sees this doc, in order to light a fire under their asses so we can begin winning back the country in november.
