Were we on drugs? Our military just cant make these things happen Hawk even if they are good things.

Sometimes I have to believe that our leadership at the time was.. We couldn't go into Laos, but the NVA could. We couldn't go into Cambodia, but the NVA could.

But most importantly.. we could go into N. Vietnam, but the NVA could go into S. Vietnam.

We couldn't blow up the dikes that would have flooded the lowlands along the DMZ and interdicted NVA supply lines, but they could build trails, roads, and even an fuel pipeline in a neutral country.

Hell of a way to fight a war...

And regardless of how "cliche" is sounds, I really believe Vietnam was lost more by the politicians than it was by the American military.

And the fact that we didn't apply more pressure upon the S. Vietnamese governments to carry the larger burden of the battle, not to believe we would win the insurgency for them..
