I don't know how Greg Manning can claim he never sold any of his Escala stock. Yahoo Finance shows he made a disposition of $1,600,000 on February 6, 2006. The stock was in the $32 range that day, quite a bit higher than today's $7 price! Looks to me like he bailed near the top.

Escala is starting to smell a lot like it's parent company. I'm avoiding ESCL for the near future, but might consider reinvesting in the future if this mess clears up and the financial picture is clearer.

I continue to remain optimistic about the stamp collectible business long term. I continue to actively buy stamps for my collection, both as a hobby and a long term investment. However, I don't pay anywhere near AFINSA's prices for stamps (catalog+). Hardly anyone pays catalog prices, and I often find I can buy through eBay for 10-20% of catalog.
