Currently, flash memory is much to expensive to compete with HDD. I am sure flash memory will get cheaper in the future and I am equally sure HDD memory will continue getting cheaper, too. I have included the current prices of flash drives for your review. For comparison, Flash drive prices for 16GB is $497 flash-memory-store.com WDC hard drive prices for 500 GB is $355 wdc.com Given these comparisons, you make up your mind about which technology is more efficient and more desirable.
