New Zealand and Australia Have Paused. OZ Yesterday, NZ Today. I tell ya it was only 4 months ago that the NZ Reserve Bank was still on the warpath. US markets think Ben is scary? This guy in NZ basically said for over a year "I'm gonna tighten, and tighten, and then when you're really in pain I'm gonna tighten some more. Got it?" Well, he paused. But he's still hawkish. BOJ looking like they're getting cold feet. OZ, and NZ --the canaries--are pausing. Yeah, seems pretty obvious how to read this. Best, LP
