Scott,

This HGH thing has the potential to get very ugly, very fast.

The Commissioner's Office and the Union will need to be of like mind for the game to be cleaned up; I don't see that happening without a bloodbath-type scandal.

Frankly, this shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. 20 years ago, a handful of pitchers could hit 95 mph on the radar gun. Now, virtually every team has a handful of guys of its own who do so. Nutrition and training haven't come that far, that fast. Pitchers have been ignored thus far in the steroid talk, but that is changing right now.

Jason Grimsley? He's a relative nobody in MLB, yet he's managed to pitch in the big leagues for 17 years with the use of steroids and HGH.

Other shoes will drop, and probably soon.
