I wish entertainers would just be entertainers. What makes a actor or actress or singer or songwriter think they have any political impact, or more pertinent, that anyone cares to hear their views on the political scene? They are just people over paid to act like make believe people or they just sing songs. That doesn't qualify them to do anything other than play "let's pretend" or sing.

Did you have the same opinion for Ronald Reagan, Sonny Bono, Chuck Heston, and Arnie?

How do you deal with Reba McIntyre criticizing the Dixie Chicks on the Academy of Country Music awards show? That was a political opinion by Reba.

What are your qualifications for giving a political opinion?

As far as I'm concerned everyone in the US has a right to express a political opinion regardless of whether they agree with me or not.

I also believe that as Americans we should be encouraging free speech and the public's involvement regardless of what occupation they might have. I certainly wouldn't cut the salary of an employee of mine because they differ from my political opinion. I might have a "right" to do it, but I consider it un-American. At least, in my value set.
