Two years ago there seemed to be no policy against viewing of ultrasound in BC ... my wife was pregnant and from the third to sixth month she had an ultrasound every three weeks or so, five or six in all i think, because she had had several miscarriages previously during the mid trimester ... i went with her at least twice, and sat watching the screen, the nurse was being careful to not show us indication of sex, but only because we had asked her not to, we preferred to find out the traditional way ... she said yes, quite a few people ask for that, but most want to know ... and presumably are told, or can see it for themselves on the screen .... there was never a word about any policy against that, quite the opposite
Maybe if you asked for an ultrasound for that purpose, and were visibly from an asian culture that aborted girls, it would be different, don't know ..... my wife was so convinced that the baby was male, because of the strength of kicking, that she agreed if it was a girl, we'd go with my names for her ... heh heh ... this twenty one month old little lady can kick a full size basketball into the house so hard you worry for the windows, from ten metres away and it's more than a little uphill ... plus, she's not named P______ or some foolish thing, heh heh |
