I stopped in at the office a couple of times while I was in Vancouver on business, talked to a few friends, and got the low down. There are a number of things brewing.
They are, it seems, very close to closing a deal with Surrey for the autonet. Apparently there is a letter of intent either written or being written. I also understand there are also several parking lots in Vancouver that are close to purchasing/leasing the autonet.
I have also been able to gather, through several conversations and rumors, that the new director will be taking a substantial position in the company. The large crosses were probably to start to get him positioned. I think I heard that he will also take a large pp soon. The new director is out of Montreal, and is apparently impressed by the technology of Markatech. They want to get a big piece of the company to secure the marketing/distribution rights to Ontario and Quebec. That is for Autonet, and the restaurant system.
From what I know about the director's company, they also have some existing products they want to vend into MKD. They were probably looking for a shell to do this with, but with MKD at only .13 and 8M shares, this is a shell.
If my sources are any good, we should see a pp soon, which will be the signal that everything is going ahead. That should strengthen the share value considerably. Of course, with the load of shares moved today, and the large bids at .14, I think we have already seen the last of the low teens.
When I talked to IR he was surprised I had heard as much as I had, but of course he would not confirm anything. I suggest more people call him, maybe he will confirm this with someone else.
