mas,

They milked the golden Venice E cow for as long as possible, now time to see how lean she can get ;-). Nice competitive prices and you can expect X2s to follow suit once Conroe tips up in Q3, this is what Hector meant by attack ;-). The X2 3600+ is a welcome addition to that range too.

I don;t really know if AMD has any parts that don't bin higher than 1.6 GHz.

I think AMD will need prices like these on X2:

5000x2: $450
4800x2: $400
4600x2: $350
4400x2: $300
4200x2: $250
4000x2: $200
3800x2: $175
3600x2: $150

Then we have (acording to the InQ):

3000: $89
3200: $99
3500: $109
3800: $139

In addition, AMD should add these SC products (and avoid number overlap):

4100: $200 (2.6 GHz, 0.5MB L2)
4300: $250 (2.8 GHz, 0.5MB L2)
4500: $350 (3.0 GHz, 0.5MB L2)
.
FX55: $300 (2.6 GHz, 1.0MB L2)
FX57: $400 (2.8 GHz, 1.0MB L2)
FX59: $500 (3.0 GHz, 1.0MB L2)
FX60x2: $500 (2.6 GHz, 1.0MB L2)
FX62x2: $800 (2.8 GHz 1.0MB L2)

Basically, end downbinning now!

Joe
