It may be a specimen from a close family member (which is adequate) and not actually from him.

Or it may be a specimen taken from somthing he'd used and not taken directly from him. This is very likely because various security forces got awfully close to him the last few years but couldn't actually make the snatch.

If that be the case, why could the SOB not be eliminated when the original sample was taken ?
