There is some expectation in the market that Intel will take back share in Q2, not later. Read the headlines:
Intel says set to cut prices more quickly at Reuters (Thu 6:11pm)
Intel May Be Making Comeback At AMD's Expense
at Forbes.com (Thu 10:08am) - PRESENT TENSE

At least one story reported that OEMs will get rebates. Besides that the July cuts (available now, effectively) are the 2nd wave. The first wave, especially cutting DC prices, was in April.

AMD barely responded to the first wave, so if Intel fails to gain market share in Q2, the price cut strategy will be shown to be a complete failure. AMD market share in Q1 was flat. If Intel cut prices more in Q2 than AMD, shouldn't they expect to gain share?
